Our Vision
Our vision as a Christian Church is:
“To bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and membership in His local Church, to develop them to maturity in the faith and to equip them for ministry and mission in order to magnify God’s Name.”
Our vision is based upon Christ’s purpose for His church in the world which is found in:
1. The Great Command:
Matthew 22:37-39 – “Love the Lord our God with all your heart…and…love your neighbour as yourself.”
We do this
- by seeking to worship God in Spirit and Truth
- by seeking to please Him and Glorify Him in all that we do.
- by striving to maintain the unity and purity of Christ’s Body, the Church.
2. The Great Commission:
Matthew 28:19 – “go and make disciples of all nations…”
We do this
- by using the resources and opportunities God has given us to reach out with the Gospel into the community where He has placed us
- by keeping informed about and maintaining a practical and prayerful involvement in wider Christian mission in the world.
