Prayer

Prayer is perhaps the greatest privilege given to the people of God on earth and it carries with it the greatest promise of the greatest power.

Through prayer we have access to God’s Throne, through faith in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit and prayer is not only God’s gift to us but a vital part of our worship of God. God has said “My house will be a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13). Under the New Covenant we are God’s house – (Hebrews 3:6). We are, therefore, to be a people of prayer. We believe in the centrality of prayer in the life, worship and work of the Church.

Public prayer meetings are:

  • Sunday 6.00 – 6.30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 9.30 – 10.30 a.m.
  • Wednesday 8.00 – 9.00 p.m.

Personal and private prayer is a condition of membership and all members are instructed and encouraged to develop and maintain a healthy prayer life.

In addition there are occasionally special times of prayer specific needs.
